Christmas Eve..Goodbye NORA!

Tonight Nora left a Goodbye, See You Next Year! Note to the E's
She also turned our living room into a Winter Wonderland.

I guess we will have a white Christmas after all :)
We will miss Nora.

Flour Angel!

Since we do not have any snow, Nora decided she would make a snow angel out of flour.

New Skirt!

Nora fashioned herself a new skirt this evening. She ditched the yellow scarf and decided to be a little more formal.
Christmas is right around the corner!

Flood Waters...

Last night Nora decided that she would hang out in our kitchen window and watch the water rise from the massive amount of rain we received.
She gave her little elf friend a boost so he could see too.
This is what it looked like when the Es found her in the morning.

Friday, December 20, 2013

Tonight Nora decided that she would try her hand on C.O.D.
I am not sure how well she actually did.

Sweet Revenge

Looks like the Lego Men have decided to pay Nora back for her Batman escapades.
Of course now that I think about it, these are all the bad guys from Ninjago...

Queen of the Cans

Tonight Nora made a castle out of the cans she found.

Monday, December 16, 2013

E1 brought home the game, Monopoly from Church on Sunday.
Nora decided it looked like fun and wanted to give it a try.

Sunday, December 15, 2013

Tonight Nora stopped and picked us up some delicious doughnuts on her way back from the North Pole.  What a sweetie :)

Cereal Suprise!

Tonight Nora decided to be sneaky and hide inside of the Cap'n Crunch box.
I am sure she will  smell like chocolate in the morning.

Movie Night

Tonight Nora had movie night with a few of E2's toys she left out.

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Tonight Nora decided to try and make a swing.  She fell off.

Tooth Paste Eater

Nora ventured into the bathroom this evening.  Her reasoning remains unknown.
I caught her wrapping herself up in toilet paper and eating the E's bubble gum flavored toothpaste.

Gingerbread People

OH MY!  Nora has cut up my husband's dress pants this evening to make Gingerbread people.
This is going to be very shocking to the E's in the morning!

Monday, December 9, 2013

This evening Nora decided to relax and read one of Ethan's scary Goosebumps books.
I let her know that I am too tired to put up with silly antics in the morning.

Stocking Blunder

Tonight Nora we peeking into E1's stocking and ended up getting stuck.
Don't tell E2, but Nora peeked into hers as well.

Purple MILK!

Nora had heard that practically ALL of her Elf friends are turning the milk red or green in the homes of all the kids they are watching over.
PSHHHH, Well Purple is the best color ever (So I MIGHT be a bit biased, since practically everything I own in purple).
So Nora decided to be a little different and turn our milk purple.
She also made her a cute little yellow scarf out of the left overs from her Batman costume.  It is a little chilly in the refrigerator.
Yesterday E1 commented on all of the cool things Nora will be taking home with her to the North Pole.

Gonna Go Fishing!

Tonight Nora made a make-shift fishing pole out of tape and toothpicks.
She then proceeded to try and catch Christmas colored Gold Fish Crackers.

Thursday, December 5, 2013

Tree Topper

Tonight Nora decided that she would replace our tree topper.
Obviously an Elf dressed as Batman is cooler than the Santa topper we did have up.

Wednesday, December 4, 2013

Tonight Nora dressed up as Batman.
She then tied up all those pesky little Lego people that were running around.

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

Tonight Nora decided that she would give makeovers to whatever toys were left out when the Es went to bed.
This baby doll was the unfortunate victim.  I do not believe Nora has ever put make up on anyone before.
I am sure that E2 is not going to be very happy in the morning.

Monday, December 2, 2013

Tonight Nora thought it would be a great idea to use up all of the streamers I have had left over from birthday parties.

What better place to decorate than the poor, sad, and lonely ceiling fan that has not been getting any use since the cold weather has struck.

Need a Mustache?

Tonight Nora decided to have a little fun with a dry erase marker.
She started with the pictures on the mantle from where she watches from all day.  She added google eyes to E2, for extra fun.

She ended with the pictures on the wall behind the couch. Then she sat on a surround sound speaker next to them.  Still holding the marker in her hands.
I am sure E1 will think it is hilarious.  E2 will upset that Nora made her look funny.  What a Drama Queen.

Marshmallow Fight!

This evening it looks like Nora is settling right in and making new friends.
Nora and her Toy Story pals are having a marshmallow fight.  I think Nora and Jessie are winning by the look of things.

Zip Line.

Tonight Nora was feeling adventurous and decided to climb up the Christmas tree and Zip Line from a plant hook to the shelf on the wall.

Unfortunately her foot was caught in the ribbon she decided to borrow out of the closet.

I am already wondering of Nora is a klutzy adventurer or if this is just first assignment night jitters.

Nora Arrives!

Today a package was found on our back porch when we arrived home.  It was addressed to the E's from the North Pole.  E1 knew exactly who the present was from.  SANTA!
For those who do not know E1 is my 5 year old son and E2 is my 2 year old daughter.
Now in our house Santa is a man who is so overcome by the gift that Jesus gave to us, that he spreads his joy by bringing all of the GOOD boys and girls ONE gift for Jesus' Birthday.
There is more to the story, but that really isn't the point of this arrival.
E1 eagerly ripped open the package while E2 whined about her shoes being dirty  (E2 is only 2 and quite frankly doesn't care what is in the box at this point).
Inside the box was a letter from Santa, a Book, and a Female Elf.
"Dear E1&E2,
I have sent one of my BEST Elves to watch over you this year, Nora.  She will be reporting back to me every night after you go to sleep about your behavior, good and bad.  Please carefully listen to the story and instructions in the book I enclosed.  Remember not to touch her.  Only Adults can.
Love, Santa"
As soon as my husband read the letter, E2 reached towards the box.  E1 screamed  NOT to touch Nora!  That resulted in a temporary melt down from E2, but at least E1 was listening.
We Skipped over the part on letting our kids name the Elf themselves.  My husband and I just picked a short and easy to pronounce name.  No fighting and no struggling 2 year old trying to pronounce the name of whatever Dinosaur her 5 year old brother name the Elf after.
After reading the story that Nora came with, we went over the story with the kids.  Making sure that they understood the 'Magic' Nora possessed and why she was here this Holiday Season.
I then picked up Nora and set her on our fireplace mantle to keep a watchful eye on the children.
